If this is your first visit for weight loss, please arrive a few minutes early. We have a health questionnaire for you to fill out and this can take some time. No other pre-treatment preparation is necessary.
***IMPORTANT! FOR FOLLOW-UP VISITS: If you plan to continue on with the program, please let us know so that we can have a vial of tirzepatide ready for you. Each vial is a prescription for the individual patient, so we will order this on your behalf in advance of your appointment if you let us know you plan to continue.
You must shave the treatment area completely within 24 hours of appointment time. (If you arrive to your appointment unshaven, we unfortunately will not be able to complete your session.)
Please reach out to GOAT if the following are applicable to you:
- Used self-tanner in the last 2 weeks
- Sunburn or heavy sun exposure in the last 2 weeks
- Antibiotic or retinol use in the last 2 weeks
- Chemical peels/micro needling in the last 2 weeks
- Accutane in the last year
- History of seizures/epilepsy
- Pregnant/breastfeeding
- Currently on menstrual cycle (this can increase skin sensitivity)
- Avoid sun exposure/burns 24 hours prior to treatment.
- Discontinue use of retinoids 12 hours prior to treatment.
- You should not have an active breakout, active cold sores, or open lesions. If this occurs, your microneedling treatment should be rescheduled.
- Allow at least 12 hours after autoimmune therapies before having a medical microneedling treatment.
- Wait 6 months following isotretinoin (Accutane) use.
- Skin types Fitzpatrick IV-VI, pigment may darken prior to lightening.
- Wait at least 48 hours before or after Botox treatment to have medical microneedling treatment.
- Wait at least 1 week before or after any fillers such as sculptra, Juvederm, Restylane, etc.
- Wait at least 1 month before or after laser treatments such as IPL, VBeam, etc. or chemical peels such as Vitalize, Rejuvenate, etc. or Microdermabrasion treatments.
- Please avoid brushing or flossing for 4 hours prior to appointment as this can increase sensitivity.
- Please stay hydrated the day of your appointment.
- Bring chapstick with you.
- If cleared by your medical provider, please avoid taking any blood thinning medications (ibuprofen, aspirin, aleve, excederin, fish oil, etc) for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
- Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 3 days prior to appointment to help minimize bleeding/bruising
- Stay hydrated
Please arrive with showered, clean hair and NO hair products (including dry shampoo/hairspray/gel). Feel free to bring earplugs/headphones. If you have hearing aids, those will need to be removed during procedure.
Please reach out to GOAT if the following are applicable to you:
- Pregnant/breastfeeding
- Younger than 18 years old
- Pacemaker
- Clotting disorders/blood thinning medications
- Heart disease, h/o stroke, h/o heart attack, thrombophlebitis
- Epilepsy
- Metal implants in the treatment area
- Current or history of cancer on the scalp
If cleared by your medical doctor, please avoid NSAID medications (ibuprofen, aspirin, Aleve, Excedrin, etc) for at 1-2 weeks prior to your procedure.
Trimming or shaving around the treatment area will create easier visibility for the provider and a better experience for you during the procedure.
Please remove any piercings in the treatment area prior to arrival
Please reach out to GOAT if the following are applicable to you:
- Younger than 18 yrs old
- Infection in the treatment area
- Bleeding or clotting disorder
- Pacemaker
- Steroid injection in the last 6 weeks
- History of cancer
- Currently Pregnant/breastfeeding
- Less than 3 months post breastfeeding
- Less than 3-6 months post hysterectomy
- Current cancer/tumor
Stay hydrated the day before and day of procedure
If cleared by your medical doctor, please avoid NSAID medications (ibuprofen, aspirin, Aleve, Excedrin, etc) for at 1-2 weeks prior to your procedure

If you have had Pronox before and have your own tubes, please bring it with you. They can be reused and will reduce your cost.

If you are coming in for a blood draw, we recommend a morning appointment to get the most accurate results. Please come in fasting. Eating the night before is fine, but the morning of your appointment please only drink water. You will be able to eat immediately following your appointment.
