As we age, both men and women experience a reduction in their body's natural ability to produce testosterone. This is natural and happens to everyone. Unfortunately this results in several unwanted effects. Weight gain, lower energy, anxiety and mood swings, a decrease in sex drive, lower muscle density and mass, and more. Getting your testosterone levels back where they should be can reverse all of these!
Ironically, low testosterone can result in poor sleep. During our REM sleep our body naturally produces testosterone. It's a vicious cycle! Balancing your testosterone levels can help you not only get better sleep, but can help your body naturally stay in balance. There are many benefits to getting good rest every night because this is when your mind and body heal and grow. Having the proper testosterone levels is one of the key ingredients to making this happen.
Schedule a testosterone appointment with us. The steps are below, but essentially we need to draw your blood and send it in to our lab for examination. This is the only way to know for sure what your specific needs are. If you're over 30 and experiencing any of the symptoms listed above, there is a good chance you suffer from low T. It can't hurt to find out, and the positive impact can be life changing!
You'll fill out a medical history form and answer other questions that help us understand your needs. We will draw your blood and send it to the lab. We'll also schedule your pellet insertion 7-10 days later. Approx 30-35 minutes.
Our Nurse Practitioner will call you within a couple of days with your lab results. They will let you know if you are a candidate for pellets and confirm your pellet insertion appointment.
On your second visit you will have a more detailed consultation, reviewing the results of your blood labs. Then your pellet will be inserted. This will take approximately 25 minutes. After numbing the site with lidocaine, the pellets are inserted into the upper buttocks. We will also schedule your next blood draw.
You will return for the final step of the process. We will draw your blood again and send it to our lab. Within 48 hours you will receive your results and we will follow that with a call from our Nurse who will go over them with you, and discuss how your levels have changed due to the pellet.
Most men are ready for another round of pellets after 5-6 months. Women need their next round in 3-4 months. If the results are great you can return for the exact same dosage as last time. However you can also choose to go through another round of blood labs to check your levels and re-dose specific to your needs.
We have partnered with BioTe, the leading provider of bioidentical testosterone pellets in the United States. What makes BioTe special is that every customer is delivered a custom pellet, chosen from over 4 million possible unique profiles, ensuring that you receive exactly what you body needs. You don't want to put generic, synthetic hormones into your body, you only want to give it what it is deficient in, and in the proper dosage.
Biote’s Method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, also known as BHRT, may help avoid unwanted side effects connected with a hormone imbalance. Pellets are tiny, custom-compounded therapies for symptoms that stem from hormonal imbalances. The Biote Method may help keep a patient’s hormone levels consistent throughout the day. The pellet therapy that Biote trains on uses hormones that are bioidentical to those found in the human body. The bioidentical hormones that Biote Certified Providers use are custom-compounded. Biote trains our providers to work with highly specialized outsourcing facilities during every step of the bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) process. The pharmacies providing pellets employ rigorous standards and practices to ensure the sterility and potency of every pellet batch distributed.
Each patient’s symptoms are unique, and so is each patient’s path to hormone optimization through BHRT. Most bioidentical hormone replacement therapy patients report some relief in as soon as four weeks, but full optimization may take up to six months or more. Some report feeling the most benefits after their second insertion. The bioidentical hormones for our hormone pellet therapy are customized to fit your patient’s specific needs.
Biote has provided pellets for more than 2.5 million insertions over the last decade.
Beyond this, the pellet delivers a much more consistent hormone level than other methods of supplementing testosterone.
